Letter To Parents From Our Education Committee

Dear Parents                                                                                                               August 2012

The Heder year which finished last month was another great success. It was once again filled with a rich array of experiences for our children, including amongst many highlights the amazing Shtetl project and a highly competitive “olympic” sports day . As usual Heder operates through the efforts of its pupils and staff and the support of parents and the PTA.  Let me take this chance to thank you all.

Last year was Judith’s last as our head teacher, and again I want to thank her for building up our cheder to its current levels of excellence.  She has set a high standard for our new head, Arielle Garellek to follow.  Nevertheless Arielle comes to us with extensive experience and enthusiasm and with the benefit of your support I know she will continue where Judith has left off.

Both the Education Committee and the PTA thrive on new thinking and new experiences.  Both are always keen to welcome new participants to please let me know if you are interested in helping out.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind you again about the Heder’s Behaviour Management Policy and Parent/School Charter both of which can be found on the website.  By registering our children in the Heder we are all agreeing to be bound by the provisions of these documents.  Please take the time to explain to your child(ren) what behaviour is expected of them before the start of term.

We hope you are having a good summer break, and look forward to seeing you in September.

With best wishes
