Security
For obvious reasons we do not post full details of our security policy, practice or processes on the main web site.
That said, the safety and security of our members and their guests whilst in the building is a continuing priority. Unfortunately the security risks to the community have only increased over the past years as we have seen mortal bombings on Diaspora communities and in Israel itself. So we take the responsibility of the security of our community very seriously and try to be ever more vigilant and alert. We also rely on the alertness and watchfulness of all our members to report any suspicious circumstances or events that they may see.
We run a series education and training events in relation to security matters including full courses and short seminars.
The Synagogue boasts a series of fully deployed and remote recording CCTV devices to ensure that we can monitor and manage security risks discreetly but effectively 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Our highly experienced and trained security team working with the CST (Community Security Trust) and the local police focus on making sure our site is one of the safest and most secure in South London whilst ensuring that these measures are in no way a disincentive to come to the Synagogue.
If, as a member, you are interested in further security training please contact our security officer through the office.
