Food Bank

The Wimbledon Foodbank is part of the wider organisation of the Trussell Trust Foodbanks and provides a minimum of three days non-perishable emergency food to local people in crisis. All food given out is donated by the local community.

The Wimbledon Synagogue is delighted to be supporting this worthy cause and there are a number of ways you can become involved in this project.

Donate Items

The Foodbank is no longer at the Elim Pentecostal Church in High Path because the building is due to be demolished. It has moved temporarily to St John Divines Church, 200 yards down the road, just past Merton Abby School and near the junction with Morden Road. Please note that there is no access from Morden Road because High Path is one way at that end.

Donations should now be delivered on Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays between 10.00 and 12.00 (not 12.00 to 2.00). The afternoon slots are reserved for clients. When dropping off the food, it is possible to park for a short time on the gravel path outside the entrance door to the church.

Each time you go shopping, please pop a couple of extra items into your trolley.  These items can be brought to the Synagogue from where they will be transported to the food bank.  Below is a list of items needed.
